How to deep clean your oven using vinegar and baking soda

Here’s our top general household ingredients non-toxic cleaning method using baking soda and white vinegar:

  • Generously sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of your oven
  • Using a spray bottle, wet the baking soda with white vinegar, don’t overdo this and avoid creating a puddle of vinegar
  • Let the baking soda and vinegar mix sit for 4-5 hours or leave overnight

Clean oven racks using the same ingredients:

  • Remove stainless steel oven racks from the oven and lay them on a flat surface that’s okay to get dirty
  • Sprinkle baking soda over the rack, using a spray bottle, wet the baking soda with white vinegar
  • Leave to soak in hot water for 4-5 hours or leave overnight
  • You can also scrub at the stainless steel racks using baking soda and a wet sponge or toothbrush for smaller grates
  • Finally wipe away any remaining baking soda and vinegar mix with a damp textured sponge
